Arch Space Frame

The arched space frame is a space structure formed by connecting multiple rods through nodes according to a certain space frame form. it has the advantages of small space force, light weight, high rigidity, and good seismic performance. it can be used as a gymnasium, theater, exhibition Halls, waiting halls, stadium stand awnings, hangars, two-way large column spacing workshops and other building roofs. Due to the regular structural combination of the arch space frame, a large number of rods and nodes have the same shape and size, which is convenient for factory production and site installation.

When the space frame is assembled, the lower chord is usually welded first, so that the lower chord is arched upward due to shrinkage, and then the web and chord are welded. When using parts for general assembly, if all the rods are positioned and welded, it will easily cause the positioned welds to be pulled off during multi-faceted construction welding. Because in this case, the weld seam will have no free shrinkage edge when welding from multiple sides, similar to welding in a closed circle. The solution is to slow down the welding construction speed and adopt the circular welding method.
