According to the different supporting conditions, flat space frames are divided into single-span and multi-span. The space frame frame supported by four points should be cantilevered, generally, 1/3 of the middle span; the continuous span supported by multi-point support should be 1/4 of the middle span, which can reduce the bending moment in the middle span of the space frame frame and improve the space frame frame. The plane truss system is composed of some plane trusses with parallel chords, with more rods and greater rigidity, so it has strong adaptability to buildings of various spans. The space truss system is a space truss composed of some pyramid systems. There are fewer rods, the amount of steel is economical, and the rigidity is not bad. Especially the space frame formed by removing the partial cones has fewer rods and a simple structure. , but the stiffness will be weakened, so this type of space frame is suitable for small and medium-span buildings.

The commonly used space frame structure forms are:
