Domestic steel space frame development status

 The construction of a large span space frame structure started very early in Our country, but the development speed is relatively slow at the beginning. But in recent years, with the development of network design software, the long-span network structure in China has been developed rapidly. A series of large-span spatial structures represented by the 1990 Beijing Asian Games, 1996 Harbin Winter Asian Games, 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, 2010 Shanghai World Expo, 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games and many other sports buildings symbolize the great progress made in China's architectural technology and have a great impact at home and abroad. However, we should recognize that there is still a gap between the development of China's long-span spatial structure and the international advanced level. Mainly in the form of structure is still relatively restrained, lack of innovation. Especially, the engineering practice of super-span space structure is still relatively few.

n the 1960s, the steel space frame structure began to develop in China. In Shanghai, we first built the steel plate node space frame. In only 5 years, that is, in 1965, China successfully welded hollow ball node space frame. Because welding hollow ball joint is simple and easy to construct, so the space frame structure is quickly popularized in our country. Three-layer space frame is also widely used in large span, such as the hangar of Capital Airport, the Hangar of Changsha Huanghua Airport and dry coal shed of Jiangxi Guixi Power Plant.China's first space frame structure is built in 1964 Shanghai Normal University ball house. Zhangzhou sports training base built in 1993 "Soaring pavilion" roof for a bidirectional orthogonal square space frame, its space frame is not equilateral hexagonal. Guangdong Olympic Stadium (as shown in Figure 1.1), prepared for the 9th National Games, is a large sports facility with 80,000 seats. Its roof is made of two floating strip steel mesh frames, weighing 11,000t. The roof truss is divided into 7 sections, the ring length is about 828m, the ring width is 78m, the projection area is about 60,000 m2, the highest point is 73m. The construction process is determined as follows: the lifting of the radial main truss is carried out by a 500T truck crane as a whole, and the lifting of the single radial sub-truss is carried out by 250T crawler crane inside and outside the site respectively, and the flow operation is adopted to ensure the construction period.

The newly built Pudong International Airport terminal, as shown in Figure 1.2, is a rare slanted steel roof at home and abroad. Its steel roof is continuous 3 spans, the span is 48.8m and 42m respectively from east to west, the longitudinal length is 411.6m, and the height is 30 to 39m. Chongqing Olympic Sports Center is a pair of bi-directional orthogonal slanting double-layer network frames with a plane projection of shuttle shape, with a span of 312m. The horizontal projection size at the widest point in the middle is 78m, and the height from the ground to the highest point is 60.17m.
