What is a fish-belly steel joist?

One of the characteristics of a fish-belly steel joist is that it is surrounded by a top chord and a folded bottom chord to form an approximate simple bending moment diagram, which is shaped like the belly of a fish. The axial force between chords tends to be equal and the axial force of the web is very small, which has the best technical and economic performance and is the ideal joist in various forms; Characteristic No.2: All forms of web are compression rods and can be without connecting plates; Characteristic No.3: Upper chord is steel pipe with diameter of 48mm, which can be used as scaffolding pipe and fasteners for the fixing and stabilizing of joist and there is no need to add other accessories, while the lower chord and web are reinforced bars for the purpose of self-processing at construction sites and repairing after deformation. The lower chords and web bars are steel bars so that the site can process them by itself and repair them after deformation. The end plate is connected by a 6mm×60mm×220mm steel plate, which is welded with upper and lower chords on both sides.
