What are all the ways of corrosion protection for structural steel materials?

 Anti-corrosion of steel structure materials is very important because steel is prone to rusting in a humid environment, and rusting destroys the strength and durability of the steel structure. Here are some common ways of corrosion prevention:



  • Hot-dip galvanizing anticorrosion method: This is a commonly used anticorrosion method to prevent corrosion by dipping the steel into melted zinc solution so that the steel surface is attached to a zinc layer. The advantages of this method are long durability, high industrialization of production, and stable quality.
  • Paint anticorrosion method: the surface of the steel is first painted with primer, and after the primer dries and solidifies, the topcoat is then painted. This method is mainly used for indoor steel treatment.
  • Arc Spraying Anti-corrosion Method: First polish and descale the components, then beat the hair, then ignite the arc to melt the metal material, and spray paint it on the pre-polished components to achieve the effect of corrosion and wear resistance.
  • Use of weathering steel: Weathering steel has better corrosion resistance compared to ordinary steel.
