Bowl-shaped steel structure stadium design The new Feyenoord Stadium in Rotterdam is located on a new site by the Maas River. It is conceived as a "future infrastructure" for football and other activities in the surrounding community. The stadium is designed as a collection of basic elements-including stands , Circulation core, structure and functional space-each element is designed to maximize performance. The three-story stands will increase the stadium's capacity to 63,000 people, while allowing spectators to be as close to the stadium as possible to better experience the competition. The bowl-shaped steel structure is the main structure that supports the stand and its roof. This structure requires less steel than the traditional steel frame.
